Transponder dropped in two steps, not as a single failure

Mentour Pilot and others: Mode S / TA-RA selected off seconds after IGARI; the remaining secondary-radar symbol gone ~37 seconds later; then the left turn. A total electrical failure would have blanked every emitter at once.

This is a cockpit-switch reconstruction from the radar/Mode S timing, consistent with the 2018 report’s “more likely switched off or unpowered” language. It does not identify whose hand was on the knob.
