WSPR detections trace MH370 to ~29.1°S 99.9°E

Open in cross-ref

Richard Godfrey’s latest published circle (radius 30 km, ~2,827 km²) has not been covered by an AUV launch. Earlier published points moved. Method is not peer-reviewed; the database is not independently auditable.

Weak Signal Propagation Reporter is a real ham-radio network. Using its SNR anomalies as an aircraft track is Godfrey’s method, not a standard ATC product. Successive end-points have shifted by hundreds of kilometres. Royal Institute of Navigation commentary in 2026 flagged the missing peer review and closed data. Mentour and BBC brought the idea to a mass audience. Ocean Infinity’s 2025–26 boxes were not a dedicated WSPR-circle search. Keep it as an unverified extra trace.
