At 23:13:58 UTC a second sat-phone call was placed. As with the 18:39 call, the terminal acknowledged; no voice answer was recorded. Thirty-seven minutes later the last successful hourly handshake occurred, and nine minutes after that the aircraft itself initiated a log-on associated with fuel exhaustion.
