MH370 search operation 2025/2026 — update to families

On the twelfth anniversary Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport issued a two-page update. It records the 25 March 2025 signing with Ocean Infinity, Phase 1 (25–28 March 2025), Phase 2 (31 December 2025 – 23 January 2026), weather interruptions, and the 7,571 km² figure. It notes additional pre-signature survey activity claimed by Ocean Infinity. It states plainly that search activities have not yielded findings that confirm the wreckage location, and that the government remains committed to informing families. This is the current official status sheet, later supplemented by the June 2026 contract extension.
