Ocean Infinity 2018 no-find-no-fee search

In 2018 private contractor Ocean Infinity searched a revised area along the 7th arc using a swarm of autonomous underwater vehicles from Seabed Constructor, on a no-find-no-fee contract with Malaysia. Published figures put the surveyed area at about 112,000 km², well beyond the original 25,000 km² target. Nothing identified as 9M-MRO was located. Combined government plus 2018 private underwater coverage is often cited around 230,000 km².
