Recovered several western-Indian-Ocean pieces, including the Mozambique flap-track fairing. Finds sit in the Malaysian debris tables at various confirmation classes.
Gibson’s beach-walk recoveries in Mozambique and Madagascar added physical pieces after the flaperon. Identification quality varies: some almost-certain MAS 777 parts, some likely. He is a finder, not an official investigator. Jeff Wise has published a sustained critique of the luck and chain of custody of some finds; that dispute is filed, not resolved here.
