Al-Qaeda meeting, Kuala Lumpur, January 2000
Hijackers later on the 9/11 flights attended an al-Qaeda meeting in Kuala Lumpur in January 2000. CIA tracked the meeting. Fourteen years later MH370 left the same city’s airport.
This is a documented intelligence episode, not a finding that MH370 was a terrorist operation. Nic Moneypenny’s September 2026 briefings place it next to MH370 because the geography is the same: Kuala Lumpur, KLIA, and later Freescale passengers with a Carlyle ownership history. The 2018 Malaysian safety report did not adopt a terrorism cause.
