Two stolen European passports
Italian and Austrian documents · two Iranian travellers
Yes — two Iranian men were on board. They travelled on stolen European passports (Italian and Austrian), not Iranian documents. The official investigation treated them as likely asylum seekers and did not adopt a terrorism finding.
Interpol and Malaysian investigators established that an Italian passport stolen from Luigi Maraldi and an Austrian passport stolen from Christian Kozel were used to board MH370. The travellers were Iranian: Pouria Nour Mohammad Mehrdad and Seyed Mohammed Reza Delavar. Early public speculation ran to terrorism. The Annex 13 team did not adopt that reading. Circumstantial weight: identity fraud on an international flight is real. It is not, by itself, a hijack. Cross-reference it with the third-party residual in the 2018 report; do not flatten it into a plot.
