Captain’s home flight-simulator files
Imaged by RMP · restored coordinates mapped by commentators
Files exist. A restored route into the southern Indian Ocean has been published. The 2018 report did not treat this as a reconstructed plan.
Royal Malaysian Police seized a PC-based simulator from Captain Zaharie’s home. Restored data include coordinates that independent analysts have plotted onto a path resembling the later SATCOM southern route, including a point near the 7th arc. Mentour (2024) notes a line through those points passing Godfrey’s WSPR figure-eights — a correlation, not identification. The Annex 13 team characterised the activity as consistent with hobbyist use and did not convert it into premeditation. Hold both: the data are real; official characterisation is not a plan finding.
