Raytheon MTS-B as Orion payload lead
Reported option · 2012–13 USAF UAV MTS bookings in the $200m class
MTS-B is EO/IR FMV/targeting. Aviation Week 2010 attributed a planned pair of MTS-B turrets on Orion — planned, not fitted on the maiden article. Flight 18 (Dec 2014) carried 1,000 lb ballast. Raytheon 10-K totals do not identify Orion as the customer.
Towed-pinger detections — not MH370
April 2014
Acoustic detections in the search area are investigated with an AUV. No wreckage is found. The detections are not attributed to 9M-MRO’s recorders.
Australia leads the southern search
March 2014 onward
The Joint Agency Coordination Centre coordinates a vast surface search, then an underwater search, in the southern Indian Ocean.

A China IP is not a finding that Beijing ran the 9 March hack
Routing fact · operator unknown
CSM said exfiltrated mail went to an IP address in China. Headlines called it a Chinese hack. The agency did not publish a named operator. Compromised machines, third-party infrastructure and a false flag remain live. Not established, not ruled out.

Type-rated 737 captain’s reconstruction from the 2018 report, Inmarsat BTO/BFO, and the Blelly–Marchand end-of-flight paper. Argues the transponder was selected off in two steps, not failed as a unit. Closes with a WSPR lead and a request to restart the search.
Could the Inmarsat BFO have been spoofed?
Wise’s northern path stands or falls on this. Inmarsat and ATSB treat BFO as a physical Doppler residual. No public demonstration has shown a 2014-era 777 SDU emitting a false BFO while keeping a consistent BTO.

ISIS radar · MTS for USAF UAVs · large classified SAS bookings
Radar on ISIS; MTS-B is an Orion payload lead. 2013 SAS booked $210m MTS for USAF UAVs and $862m classified. Those totals do not establish an MH370/MAGIC contract.

What sensors were actually on Orion by March 2014?
Orion was selected as MAGIC’s multi-day, multi-sensor ISR aircraft. First flight had no mission system; flight 18 (Dec 2014) carried ballast. Those two points do not empty the aircraft. Sorties 2–17, including March 2014, are the hole. Gorgon Stare / MTS-B / VADER remain live leads, not closed fits.

Burst Timing Offset describes distance from the satellite (an arc on the Earth). Burst Frequency Offset encodes relative motion and is why official analysis went south, not north.
